What is hypnotherapy?

Hypnotherapy is a complementary therapy which uses relaxation techniques to focus the conscious part of the minds’ attention, thereby allowing access to the subconscious part of the mind. This state of awareness is commonly known as ‘trance’. When in trance the subconscious mind is more open to the suggestions being made by the hypnotherapist to bring about the change the client requires.

Hypnosis is a very deep state of relaxation during which the client is always in control. Many people say that during it, they feel a release of pressures and worries and afterwards a feeling of calm, wellbeing and positivity.

Session Information
What will happen in a session?
​
Our first session will be a free 30 – 45 minute Initial Consultation. During this session we will discuss your needs and objectives and I will explain how Solution Focused Hypnotherapy works. We will discuss how many sessions will be required and you will be provided with a free relaxation CD to listen to at home in between sessions.
​
Follow up sessions will last 45 – 60 minutes with approximately 30 minutes of trance work. Smoking cessation sessions last approximately 2-2.5 hours.​

How many sessions will I need?​
​
This will vary from person to person but as a general guide, length of treatment is:

Anxiety or depression - 6 –12 sessions.

Phobias - 3 – 4 sessions

Smoking cessation – 1 session of approximately 2 – 2.5 hours duration
Where do sessions take place?
​
Due to Covid-19 all sessions are currently taking place online. This method has proved highly successful during lockdown and clients have enjoyed the convenience of receiving hypnotherapy in the comfort of their own homes. It also means that our respective locations are not a barrier to treatment. So long as you have a stable internet connection, that we can see and hear each other and you have a place where you can relax and not be disturbed, it works!!!

Follow Up Sessions (45 – 60 mins*) - £60
Block bookings - 5 follow up sessions (45 – 60 mins*) for the price of 4 - £240
Smoking Cessation (2-2.5 hours) – £250

About Me
Hi, I’m Plaxy and my interest in Hypnotherapy began when I was expecting my third child and wanted to use hypnotherapy as a form of pain relief during labour. I was lucky enough to find
a wonderful Hypnotherapist who I have returned to over the years in order to help me with various issues.

My experiences of hypnotherapy have been so positive, that it inspired me to become a Hypnotherapist myself, so that I may help others in the same way.
